As travel becomes more available, we want to look over 3 things that may make your next vacation a better one. Some of these may be a bit more specific on the type of vacation (luxury or roughing it). Without any further, let’s get into it.

Translator Earbuds

These come from many different manufactures with some varients to them. The ones we have been using are the Timekettle Mt2. These are fantastic but have not looked at others to give you an honest comparison.

Why translators? – My first international trip was to Japan, 5 or so years ago. I didn’t come prepared with good options to communicate in Japanese and I was able to survive but had many challenging moments. Next was a trip to the Philipines where we had a friend translate everything for us. This allowed us to navigate transportation and communication like never before. Going forward I don’t want to be left without an easy way to communicate in the native tongue of wherever I’m going. Now that I have the Earbuds it has made conversations easier than I thought possible. to be able to understand people everywhere I go has not only changed my life perspective but made it more enjoyable. Don’t go international without a pair of these.

A good Bag

Regardless of the type of travel, you will need a good bag. If you are traveling around for a hike, or just traveling around outside a lot, a solar backpack is priceless. Solar bags have come a long way over the last few years, with better solar panels and better batteries. I’ve been using the Sunnybag Explorer for my outdoor adventures.  With a 6 watt panel at 22.4% efficiency, it provides enough power to get me through. I did use this just for my phone but have no concerns about being able to charge heavier-duty electronics.

My second bag is a Mobile Edge Scanfast I use this for my not-so outdoor travel. This is a durable bag with a lifetime warranty. Designed for travel through security checkpoints, this can take the wear and tear of even the most hardcore travel. When in doubt, this is a good go-to bag since it will stand up to almost any punishment you would put it through. This doesn’t have the latest processor built-in, it doesn’t have the solar of the Sunnybag, but what it has, is a solid build with the latest materials and greenhouse reducing processes. You won’t go wrong with one of these.

 Mobile Internet\Battery

For those of you familiar with the site you may have already read about how great the Mobile WiFi cards are. For those of you who are not, we used the Fonebud on international travel to a few locations that had no WiFi or known internet connections. For any travel where communication is not assured, a mobile internet card can not just keep you on your social media, but allow mapping systems, translator apps, and just basic internet searches. While traveling I didn’t realize how much this could help; beyond just keeping me connecting to people, this can keep you informed about transit methods, open and closed locations, this ended up being my start in the morning and last stop at night. Thank you Fonbud for making travel just that much better. For all of the details about this device read our article detailing the capabilities.

Though none of these are required for good travel, they have made mine exponentially more enjoyable. Fewer things to worry about, fewer problems, more open to the people and world around me. The products I used aren’t the only ones that can get the job done. Take my suggestions on brands if you would like, but consider each one of these for your next trip and I can assure you there will be one less thing to worry about.
