Hey Galactigeek fans, camera-man-n-sports-guy Kent here!

With 2018 CES coming up I wanted to post some of my favorite pictures from the experience that was CES 2017.

Sports celebrity sighting

As a sports fan and the sports specialist for Galactigeek it was a treat to get this picture

Jerome Williams showing of his Georgetown championship ring to Galactigeek!

LG 21:9 Ultra-wide Monitor

This monitor is uber-sexy and will set you back $400 large but with a 34” QHD display, 2x Thunderbolt 2 connections, 2x HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, sRGB over 99%/color calibrated, Screen-Split, 7W speakers with MAXXAudio and AMD FreeSync, is well worth the asking price!

This monitor was my personal favorite; if you are using it for PC, console or even watching your favorite team play, this monitor will not disappoint.

Split screen feature in action

This Samsung guy

Daniel from Samsung…the man gets my vote for the best employee interaction we had in 2017. This guy was a hoot, he was sooo exited to tell us all about the notebook and he knew his stuff! Mad props to him!!!

The laptop he was showing our very own Lance Thompson was impressive as well

Samsung Notebook Odyssey

Display: 17.3”  Full HD Wide, Viewing Angle, Anti-Glare

Processor: Up to 7th gen Intel Core i7, quad-core

GPU: Nvidia GTX1070 GDDR5 8gb or (if you have to…I’m totally on team Nvidia myself) AMD Radeon RX570 GDDR 8GB/4GB

Razer strikes again

IMO Razer did it again; if you are a controller player that plays in a mouse-n-keyboard world like me you HAVE to use Razer controllers.

They’re the only ones with hair trigger like keys that you can map to the regular buttons. I bought the Sabertooth and when this bad boy came out I got this. The grips are a nice improvement and make it more comfortable to hold the controller, the bumper keys are better, and best of all the interface with PC games is perfect whereas the Sabertooth had quirks at times.

All in all it’s a must have if you want to get close to the reaction time that mouse and keyboard gives without switching to mouse and keyboard.

Throne of axes

Awesome pic! GOT fans will recognize this Gibson inspired GOT throne.

Can you play with this Ironman?

A full life size ironman suit, a cosplayer’s wet dream…. Yes it’s in a giant action figure box. I can’t remember who had this bad boy on display but had to get a pic of the life sized action figure.

In Win

Always one of my favorite companies to see what they come up with, and in 2017 In Win did not disappoint.

There are two towers on display the D-frame is a theme they have had for a few years but this time they incorporated a liquid cooling system and see through casing along with the metal frame.

The second is totally awesome! The Medieval-Metal by BSmods is a premium case that is one of a kind, full of functionality that was built into the cool looks, the power button is on the but of the hilt of the sword! This was a treat to see.

Wrap-up

I will end with this one a pic of VICTORY!!!! The History Channel showed up with a cool and very popular Spec-Ops course that let you play with night vision.

This was worth the near hour wait to do the course. I had never used night vision head gear before and I did not expect how heavy the helmet and gear would be. Much props to our service men and women who wear this stuff.

The head gear was actually disorienting if you looked down toward your feet or hands, but it was still a fun experience.

Well this was just some of the highlights from a great 2017 CES. I can wait for what we will see in 2018 and Galactigeek will be there to bring it to you!
