The Hyper X Cloud Stinger is a Wired gaming headset for the PC gamer on a budget with a price point of around 50$ (USD) the frame of the headphones at first glance will seem bulky though they are actually pretty lightweight and after many long hours of grinding levels in newer mmorpg’s such as New world or just playing a few rounds of popular FPS titles with friends they are pretty comfortable and won’t have your head feeling like it was being crushed like some other budget headsets that are around the same price point all thanks to HyperX’s signature memory foam.

The boom mic itself is not detachable which is kind of a bummer but definitely not a deal breaker as the audio the mic picks up is on the clearer side of most budget mic’s you will use and it also boasts a Swivel-to-mute noise-cancellation microphone so you’ll always know when you’re muted which is a great feature for people like me that often forget to mute their mic when they are talking to other people outside of the party you’re playing with.

The headset also features a Intuitive volume control on headset ear cup for a quick volume up or down when needed when you are in the midst of a battle you wont have to mess around with any computer or in game setting.

The ear cups also feature 90-degree rotating ear cups provide a snug fit that conforms to your head and makes it easy to wear around your neck if needed.

Overall I would rate this headset at a 4/5 based on the price and performance it would be hard to find another headset at around the price range that comes close to how comfortable these feel and the sound is quality is really solid overall whether it be the sound you are speaking into the boom mic or the sound coming from the headphones themselves you can always hear where the opponents are at giving you a competitive edge and your team mates won’t ever question what you’re saying through the clarity of the microphone, my only real gripe with this headset is it does pick up quite a bit of background noise and if you are using them for music purposes there isn’t really much noise cancellation so you will still hear plenty of stuff in the background outside of your music or game that you are playing. I would definitely recommend these to anyone not looking to spend a fortune on a headset that will compete with some of the more expensive models out on the market.
