Sometimes Christmas is a bit of a hit or miss with kids. Things you think they will enjoy, might not work out. It’s easy when you give them a phone, tablet, or game on the phone or tablet. We wanted to find some alternative options and found the BrainBolt Genius.

What is this thing?

The BrainBolt genius has many options for play, but to summarize; This is a complex Simon-style game.

Multiple play modes help keep interest for a while. Beyond the single-player, there are also 2 player modes that extend the enjoyment making it feel fresh and new again.

We have only had this for a couple of months now so the family is still feeling the excitement to keep playing with it over and over. Honestly, if we were to get bored of it now, and play with it once a year (which we are not), I would still recommend it. the price for the hours and hours of fun we have all had makes this a great buy regardless of what the future holds.

Who is this designed for?

I feel like this could be a good gift for anybody under 15. My kids ignored everything when they got it. both 9, and 7 years old, they have both taken to it. The wife on the other hand thought it was neat, but that was where their interest stopped. I also feel like If I got this for my mother she would think I gave her the wrong gift.

What did I not like about it?

I can’t think of anything off-hand, this is a well-made fun toy.

Is it worth the $25?

Absolutely, It’s a toy I feel good about my kid playing with. They enjoyed it, and have spent plenty of time playing with it. all together that makes for a good price.
